The standards of conduct provisions of the Civil Service Reform Act of 1978 (CSRA), among other statutes, guarantee certain rights to Federal employees who exercise their statutory right to become a member of a union representing Federal employees. The provisions also impose certain responsibilities on officers of these unions to ensure union democracy, financial integrity, and transparency. The Office of Labor-Management Standards (OLMS) is the Federal agency with primary authority to enforce many standards of conduct provisions. If you need additional information, please contact OLMS at 1-866-4-USA-DOL FREE. If you suspect a violation of these rights or responsibilities, you should refer to your union’s constitution and bylaws for information on union procedures, timeliness, and remedies. Complaints may be filed with OLMS after exhaustion of reasonable internal union remedies. See 29 C.F.R. §§ 452.135, 458.54.

  • The LA/LB Seaport takes 6th Place at B2V
    Posted On: Apr 02, 2016

In the grueling race that is the 100+ mile race from Baker, CA to Las Vegas, NV, the LA/LB Seaport brought their best and brightest.  This year’s group of men and women fought through pain, exhaustion and high temperatures to capture the 6th place spot in the IX800 category (20 runners whose ages add up to at least 800; mixed category).  This is the same category that the Seaport was in when they won the group in 2015.  This year, our team was only 10 minutes off of its pace from 2015.  Runners had an additional commitment of dedicating the race to the late Paul Issa, CBP Officer.

NTEU Chapter 103 has endeavored to support the B2V efforts going into 2017.  We will also do our best to solicit for a more diverse group of runners.  We know that we can exceed expectations when we work together.  I want to thank all that were involved in the 2016 race.  Your efforts have made this an event that brings pride to both employees and managers in the LA/LB Seaport.

    Paul Sumbi, President
